Bob Boyer has been actively involved with firearms for over 65 years. He retired in 2011 as the Ogden Temple Engineer and now spends his time doing what he loves, which is teaching others the safe and enjoyable sport of using firearms. Bob is a certified NRA Pistol, Rifle, and Shotgun instructor and an NRA Range Safety Officer. He is also certified by the State of Utah as a Concealed Firearms Permit Instructor and regularly teaches CFP courses in the Syracuse, Utah area.
Over many years, Bob has been involved in instructing others as the training officer for the Kaysville Fire Department, as former EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) and a certified CPR/AED and First Aid instructor for the National Safety Council and the American Heart Association. Bob volunteers with the Boys Scouts of America as a merit badge counselor and range safety officer for BSA shooting events. Bob is a currently serving Range Officer at the Wahsatch Shooters Association public outdoor range in Kaysville. He also has spent time volunteering with the Davis County Sheriff’s Office and Davis County Emergency Services.
